Long ago, the masters of Stillhand could keep still for days. Then someone invented notifications. One master is left. His name is Manul. Sit through a lesson with the phone away. Do your katas. Every Sunday at 20:00 he marks your week.
Knock on his door
Four things, and a master who notices all of them.
Pick how long, step on the mat. Leave the app and he counts every minute you were gone.
One small thing, every day, until it's yours. A hundred of them in seven fields, three levels each. Miss a day and nothing resets. He still sees it.
Small things that count: a call instead of a text, a walk without the phone, the email you keep putting off.
He marks your week in red pen. A letter, a word, at most three remarks. Share it if you dare.
On day one you are on trial. Keep showing up and he lets you stay, and writes your name on the dojo wall. Keep going and he chooses you: the white belt. Six more after that, each one harder to earn.
Three characters, one standard. Choose the one you can stand on your lock screen in a meeting.
"Two minutes away. Let's not make it three."
Quiet and patient. Disappointed, never loud.
"Two minutes. Noted."
Cold and short. A dry joke now and then. Silence does the rest.
"Two minutes. Your phone missed you. I didn't."
Says exactly what he thinks of you. With jokes.
The dojo is free. The paid plan is for people who want the doors locked.
Leave your email and we'll tell you the day the door opens. Tell us which plan you'd pick, honestly. It helps.
